I'm taking advantage of this heat wave with dreamy skirt silhouettes and off shoulder crop tops. California tends to have late Summer heat waves and the months of September and October can sometimes be the hottest. While I may be eager to embrace the deep colors and cozy fabrics of Fall, I enjoy finding ways to mix Summer and Fall trends during this transition period.
For this look, I paired this midi gingham button-up skirt with an off shoulder black crop top. I added a simple black cross body bag and topped the look off with some coral sandals.
I love this look because it combines the dark, monochromatic colors of the colder months with the gingham and silhouettes of Summer. The sandals add a fun pop of color to an otherwise black-and-white outfit. This skirt is from Reformation and I love the way it fits! The top is snug enough to be flattering but not snug enough to be constricting. The button detail down the front adds an adorable focal point to the outfit and there is a little slit in the front where the buttons end.
Light, airy outfits like this are my go-to for late Summer heat waves. Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to having you back!
