Styling a Light Coat for Late Summer
Cooler evenings bring a refreshing preview of Fall - and the need for a light jacket. I've always been attracted to the put-together look of a slightly structured camel coat. The neutral color adds warmth and sophistication to any outfit and breaks up a Fall wardrobe that may be drowning in black.
The coat that I'm wearing for this look (similar coat here, here, and here) is light enough for late Summer evenings and flexible enough so I can wear it over layers in colder weather. I paired it with a navy plaid skirt and a graphic tee that ties in the colors of the other pieces. I stuck with a simple black shoe and matched my lip color to the maroon in the tee.
I love the versatility of a light coat. I tend to wear these pieces starting in late Summer all the way through April or May so I make sure to invest in a couple that I really love. A black version and a grey version will also be added to my wardrobe during my Fall shopping so I will let you guys know how I style those later. Stay tuned!
Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to having you back!
