Fewer Buttons

As the year comes to a close I naturally find myself thinking about where I want to take my life next year. What city do I want to live in? What are my goals for the next year? Where do I want to travel? What lifestyle adjustments do I want to make? And, perhaps the question carrying the most weight, where do I want to take my blog?

The goals I’ve set in previous years have been to post more consistently, to curate a more impressive wardrobe, to post on social media twice per day, to take better quality photographs, etc. While these goals are well and good, I find myself trying to create these clean, buttoned-up blog posts that follow a shopping-styling-photography-editing-writing-promoting formula that can be a bit daunting to take on on a daily basis.

Don’t get me wrong - I love everything about the entire process. But sometimes I just want to hop on the blog and share what’s been inspiring me, the new pieces I’ve added to my mental wishlist, my favorite Instagram posts of the week, or an exciting new vintage find.

I created The Everywear because I wanted to inspire and be inspired. So, that's exactly what I’ll aim to do in the coming year(s). I want to develop a closer relationship with you, my readers. I’ll take you through my day as I would a stylishly-inclined friend, sharing my daily happenings, new products that I love, beloved wardrobe additions, struggles, triumphs, muses, outings, and anything else that I feel would add to our pool of inspiration.

This does not mark the end of those buttoned-up blog posts. It just means more me and fewer… buttons?

Hi, I’m Nikki. I’m in my pjs eating truffles and I like fashion. Let’s get to know each other.
